Between 2005-2010 Laurence Brahm resided in Lhasa restoring heritage buildings converting them into guest houses, restaurants, and Shambhala Studios work space.
Today these are open for travelers and pilgrims.

Shambhala Palace was the historic residence of Samdong Rinpoche and has been restored in the spirit of a high lama's palace.
The rooms overlook a central courtyard with wall art depicting the story of the mythic Shambhala Kingdom and a roof view of the Potala Palace.

House of Shambhala was historically an ancient shrine, later becoming Lhasa's first secular school founded by the 13th Dalai Lama. Then the home of the 13th Dalai Lama's general, later becoming the home of the general's romantic poet and songster son.
Shambhala Source is located at the sacred medicinal hotsprings of Terdrom where Guru Padmasambhava and Khandro Yeshe Tsogyal remained in retreat for seven years.
